Dubai (October 9, 2017) – Advanced Conferences & Meetings (ACM) proudly launched the 2nd Annual Future Accessibility & Assistive Technology Dubai summit on Sunday at Grosvenor House Hotel Dubai. This event provided a platform for knowledge-share between policy makers, developers, private sector companies, specialist solution providers to support enhancement in the quality of life for all.
The conference started with the opening remarks of the chairman Tina Merk from Zayed Higher Organization and the Opening keynote address of Dr Hussein Masseh from Community Development Authority (CDA) and Eng Fida AlHammadi from Dubai Municipality followed by many exciting presentations among which we can mention: “Future of accessibility in smart city services” by Dr. Victor Pineda from Pineda Foundation / World Enabled, “Conclusion of the UN Habitat for a New Urban Agenda” by Mukhtar Al Shibani from Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments (GAATES), “Transit-Oriented Developments from an accessibility point of view” by Bruce Fritznathan from AREP, “The importance of airport infrastructure accessibility in ensuring a fully accessible Expo 2020” by Roberto Castiglioni from UK Civil Aviation Authority and many more… The conference provided a workshop “Workplace diversity and inclusion workshop” as well as informative panel discussions “Developing design standards and aligning them with international standards to create inclusive universally accessible buildings” and “Developing a fair and inclusive tourism for all”.
The first day at the 2nd Annual Future Accessibility & Assistive Technology Dubai summit created the perfect platform for the attendees to build relations, exchange ideas and seize business opportunities throughout the ACMi+ interface that allowed for many networking breaks which created a dynamic, efficient and relevant learning environment.
The 2nd Annual Future Accessibility & Assistive Technology Dubai was held with the participation of Emirates NBD, All Access, Cibes, Kee Safety, Hewi, Synergy and Gaates.
Day two (October 9, 2017) of the conference hosted speakers from the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Special Olympics World Games 2019, Benetech, DEWA, AREP … and featured a workshop.
