Abu Dhabi (December 11, 2017) - Supported by Abu Dhabi Distribution Co. (ADDC), Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority and Al Ain Distribution Company, RetrofitTech Abu Dhabi summit was launched today at Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa. This summit is organized by Advanced Conferences & Meetings.
Holley Chant the Executive Director of KEO International chaired the summit whilst Humaid Ali Al Shamsi, the Tarsheed Program Embassador from Abu Dhabi Distribution Co. (ADDC) delivered the opening speech. Al Shamsi focused on outlining the Tarsheed programme alongside the Kafa’ati initiative framework for Abu Dhabi’s ESCO market. The CEO of Wattaqa, Stephane Le Gentil presented the lessons learned from energy efficiency programmes.
The summit included many panel discussions. The first one was the financing panel discussion that detailed the financing energy efficiency investments for existing buildings. The second panel discussion was a cross industry one about enhancing building design and asset performance for energy consumption.
The third was an ESCO panel discussion detailing the opportunities and challenges for the strategic placement of retrofitting projects.
Many speakers participated in these panel discussions, to name a few: Dr. Jamal El Zarif, Technical Advisor at Abu Dhabi Municipality, Pierre Langlois, President, Econoler & Vice Chairman, Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO) and member of the International Energy Efficiency Financing Protocol (IEEFP) Committee, N. Guy Winebrenner, Vice President, Energy & Environment at RTI International and Charles Blaschke, Managing Director at Taka Solutions.
Raffi Kazazian the Energy Solutions Director at Taqeef participated in the cross industry panel discussion and RetrofitTech Abu Dhabi served as a platform for Taqeef to showcase their clean cooling solutions.
The event included a networking lunch and many breaks that brought together all attendees, speakers and sponsors in a professional friendly atmosphere.
