Cairo, Egypt, 12 September 2011: Canon Middle East today announced it has won a major tender from Printness, Egypt's leading digital and off-set printing house for the supply of a Canon imagePRESS 6010 unit. The contract valued at US $ 150,000 represents one of the biggest tenders offered for bidding in the 'pay for print' industry in 2011.

"This is an affirmation of the superiority of Canon's colour quality and business solutions. Canon's products, solutions and professional services always strive to make its customers more productive and the tangible benefits experienced by Printness is testament to this," said Yamada Naoshi, Deputy Managing Director, Canon Middle East.

"Colour management can be very challenging, with regular calibration needed to produce the best results, but it can also disrupt production processes. Through Canon's imagePRESS digital printing solutions, we have been able to eliminate paper rejections and wastage accrued by many printing houses because of inconsistency in colour and delays in production," added Naoshi.

Naoshi also explained that with the imagePRESS 6010, Printness can produce documents that rival offset quality and maintain superior colour consistency for a wide range of jobs, including books, hard-copy reproductions, direct mail pieces, and other marketing collateral.

"We migrated to Canon's imagePRESS solutions to enable us to achieve greater productivity and efficiency in our print for pay and graphic arts services. We were impressed not just with the technical solutions offered by Canon, but also its after-support services which are critical for a service-oriented business like ours," said Abd Elhakim Bakry, Sales Director (ETCO).

The imagePRESS C6010 consistently reproduces clear, sharp images with the lifelike skin tones, smooth gradients, and color accuracy needed to satisfy even the most perceptive buyers of printed materials.
