Alfa 3rd public auction on Platinum mobile numbers raises more than 1M$

Beirut, December 22, 2011: Alfa, in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunications, organised a live public auction on Platinum mobile numbers, on Tuesday December 20, 2011 at the Metropolitan hotel-Sin El Fil. The bid, the 3rd of its kind, was well received and raised a total amount of 1,082,000$.

All 45 special Alfa Platinum numbers were sold in the auction. The first five numbers are respectively as follows:
- 71-000000: $ 140,000
- 71-777777: $ 80,000
- 71-717171: $ 65,000
- 71-700000: $ 50,000
- 71-888888: $ 50,000

The proceeds of this auction will go to support the projects of the Ministry of Telecommunications aiming at further developing the mobile sector in Lebanon.
