We cordially invite to participate in the second edition of International Seminar „Energy from waste. Investment, fuels and technologies”, which will be held on 6th February 2014 in Warsaw, Poland. It is mainly addressed to the representatives of industry, the power sector and cooperating in this case municipal branch as well as to foundations, institutions, organizations and associations related to the broadly defined sector of renewable energy, waste and the environment protection.
Six new waste to energy plants are being under construction in our country, moreover, a new law on renewable energy sources is coming and Poland forms and fits its own system of municipal waste management as well.
The seminar is one of the elements of series of events dedicated to broadly defined biomass used for energy purposes. In the series of these events we organize following training courses: biofuels sampling, logistics, combustion side-products as well as the settlement of biofuels for support systems. The culmination of the cycle is annual, international “Forum of Biomass Combustion” which brings together nearly five hundred people form Poland and abroad as well as the best suppliers for this sector.
The first edition of the seminar was held on 3 October 2013 at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel and was attended by over 130 participants. During event we've formulated proposals related to the potential energy use of waste and deficiencies in the regulatory, which hinder the investments. These demands has been directed to the ministries of Economy and the Environment and the Parliamentary Sub-Committee which monitor waste management in Poland.
The most important topics of the second edition of Seminar:
- Regulatory environment for investments in waste management, production of alternative fuels and conditions of their use for the production of electricity and heat - The most interesting implementation and examples of good practice in the use of waste to produce energy and heat - Environmental aspects associated with waste incineration processes and their use - Types of alternative fuels - Overview of available and emerging technologies - Models of cooperation between local governments, the municipal sector and potential investors
