Injazat Data Systems, a leading Information Technology and business process managed services provider in the UAE, has finished another strong year marked by various awards and industry achievements, new partnerships, socially-relevant programs and a rapid expansion of its customer base.

Achievements & Awards
After winning the '2010 Frost & Sullivan Market Share Leadership of the Year for the UAE Captive Managed Services Market' award, Injazat once again reaffirmed its industry dominance in 2011 by winning three major awards: 'Managed Services Provider of the Year' at the Network World Middle East 2011 Awards, Computer News ME ICT Achievement Awards 2011, and the Data Centre Middle East Awards. It was also named 'Best Industry Partner for the Information Technology Program' by the Higher Colleges of Technology - Abu Dhabi Women's College.

Global IT market intelligence firm International Data Corporation (IDC) also ranked Injazat among the top IT services providers in the UAE in its latest report on 'Competitive Profiles and Analysis of Leading IT Services Players.'

Injazat forged strategic partnerships with major government and private sector entities as well. It entered into a technical support agreement with the UAE Ministry of Education as the official provider of IT Helpdesk Support services for the Ministry's Bureaus in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as well as the educational districts and public schools of Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The company also inked an outsourcing deal to support the critical IT requirements of Abu Dhabi Ship Building, the sophisticated military and commercial ship builder. Injazat also began pursuing training sourcing opportunities in the Middle East with leading global services company KBR.

Community Initiatives
Aside from its corporate initiatives, Injazat was also busy engaging in various socially-relevant activities in 2011. A memorable community-driven event was the annual 'Play for Life' corporate football tournament it joined in cooperation with the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre to generate greater awareness of diabetes, a chronic disease that affects more than 20 per cent of the UAE's population. The company also teamed up with other prominent organizations to help the Al Noor Centre for Children with Special Needs in Abu Dhabi complete a 'wish list' aimed at improving the scope, delivery and quality of services of the humanitarian institution.

In addition, Injazat shared its views on social, business and economic growth in the UAE and across the GCC during the first-ever INSEAD Global Business Leaders Conference. The event was organized by the Abu Dhabi Campus of INSEAD, one of the world's leading graduate business schools, and gathered around 120 senior executives from over 40 countries.

Emiratization
The professional advancement of UAE Nationals was again a focal point of Injazat's community-focused initiatives. The Injazat Institute (Ti2), a professional development initiative launched by Injazat Data System, outlined career development opportunities particularly in the IT sector for young UAE Nationals during the Zayed University IT Competition.

Ti2 also assisted a number of Injazat's Emirati personnel in graduating with a Leadership Diploma from the Cambridge Judge Business School. Moreover, the Institute successfully upgraded its certified ITIL v2 Service Managers to ITIL v3 Expert status. ITIL is a set of best-practice standards for quality IT service management.

Ti2 entered into a partnership with Strata Manufacturing (Strata) to design and develop focused Career Development Plans (CDPs) for all of Strata's Emirati employees as well. Strata is the advanced composite aerostructures manufacturing division of Mubadala Aerospace.

Injazat also demonstrated its successful approach to the professional development of UAE Nationals by sponsoring and participating in the third Annual Emiratization Forum that took place at the Abu Dhabi University.

Partnerships
Ti2 implemented an Emiratization strategy where all UAE National employees have a fully approved and implemented Career Development Plan mapping their growth to expected competencies and certification. Nationals currently occupy key management, technical and professional positions at Injazat, reflecting the company's goal of setting industry benchmarks for operational excellence by UAE Nationals.

Ti2 was recently approved as a Training Center under the UK's Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), Europe's largest awarding body for leadership and management qualifications. The Institute is now authorized to award Leadership and Management Certification to Injazat employees and external clients.

"We would like to thank our partners and customers for being a part of our last year's success. Everything is in place for us to sustain our excellent performance through 2012 and maintain our position as one of the region's top IT service providers. We are eyeing further enhancements to our capabilities in key areas to respond to evolving market needs and help expedite local and regional IT development," said Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, Managing Director, Injazat Data Systems.

As the owner and operator of the Middle East's The 1st Tier IV design-certified Data Center, Injazat is expected to continue playing a vital role in the evolution of the region's dynamic IT services sector.
